BUNCO & BBQ 2019

July 18, 2019 by Site Ground

SCIL sends out a huge thank you to all involved in the major success of our Rolling for Readers Bunco Event. This year’s event was held on June 25th and we had over 120 attendees!  Food was sponsored by Braeden’s BBQ and once again the Regional Eye Center was our Event sponsor.  Great food, prizes, and, of course, BUNCO was enjoyed by all.  We not only raised over $11,000 – a fundraising record for SCIL—but we added 8 new members to our list of Monthly Book Sponsors.

Thanks to the strong support of our community, hard work of our board-members, and great planning by our Bunco Committee, the night was not only a great success, but also a great time.  If you missed this year’s BUNCO event, be sure to come out next year.  It only gets better with time!

Check out photos from the event. See what you missed if you weren’t there or look to see if you can find yourself!

SCIL Celebrates 10th birthday and mailing of 500,000 Imagination Library books!

May 19, 2014 by Site Ground

SCIL Celebrates 10th birthday and mailing of 500,000 Imagination Library Books!

The Sullivan County Imagination Library recently celebrated two milestones: its 10th birthday and the mailing of 500,000 Imagination Library books to local preschool children over those 10 years. Three businesses and one non-profit organization were honored for their long-standing commitment to early childhood literacy: Citizen’s Bank, Eastman Chemical Company Foundation, Eastman Credit Union, and Speedway Children’s Charities. Each has donated to the Sullivan County Imagination Library every year for the entire 10 years of our existence. When you see people from these businesses, please thank them for us. They care about the future of our children.
